TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Reservations
Confirmation of services will only be processed and confirmed by IdentityGo (PTY) Ltd t/a GO TRIP once an acceptance of an official order or payment is received together with all requested documentation in order to process a reservation.
- Tour booking
Tours can only be booked with GO TRIP by a signed booking & deposit form confirmation. Your signature on this document confirms your acceptance of these terms and conditions as a binding contract between GO TRIP and yourself, the participant. GO TRIP cannot accept any tour participant without a written booking confirmation.
- Payment terms
Payment terms are indicated on each individual tour program. A deposit, plus single supplement (applicable to single travelers) is required to confirm a reservation. Second and/or final payment dates & amounts are indicated on each individual tour program.
- Cancellation procedure
Cancellation of any booking must be received in writing and acknowledged by GO TRIP. Any cancellation fees and expenses occurred will be deducted before refunding the client the remaining monies received. If the participant fails to join a tour or joins it after departure, or leaves it prior to its completion, no reimbursement will be made. Please note: Travel and cancellation insurance is highly recommended for all clients. The onus is on the client to arrange this travel insurance at the time of booking. GO TRIP can assist with obtaining a travel insurance quote from TIC Travel Insurance.
- Cancellation policy
GO TRIP will impose cancellation fees in respect of the tour prices, based on the following guidelines:
Cancellations where flights are involved or booked on behalf of the client will be dealt with as follows:
Local Flights – if a cancellation occur inside the last 6 weeks before departure, the cost of the airfare is non-refundable and the airline cancellation policy becomes applicable.
International Flights – Flight deposits are paid when booking is made, full payment for flights is done 90 days prior to departure. Should you cancel the tour within the 90-day period, the airline cancellation policy will become applicable for flights paid. Any changes to the group reservation made, must be done in writing with specific dates, the difference in cost between the group reservation and requested changes must be paid upfront in order to secure the rate quoted. Change request quotes are valid for 24hours. Airport taxes will be invoiced with final payment and are determined by the airline when flights are issued.
Cancellation fees:
31 – 60 days: deposit paid is forfeited
15 – 30 days: 50% of the total tour cost is forfeited
8 – 14 days: 75% of the total tour cost is forfeited
0 – 7 days: 100% of the total tour cost is forfeited
Additional cancellation details pertaining to individual tours are indicated on all international tour itineraries and are applicable to that particular tour.
Cancellations done less than 30 days prior to departure will be processed only after completion of the tour date once all establishments have confirmed a refund amount and has paid it back into our account.
Refunds are processed within a minimum of 14 work days.
- Covid-19 Regulations
- All tours are run at 70% capacity.
- All tour members must wear a mask and / or face shield at all times.
- There will be hand sanitizer available on the bus and will be used with each stop.
- Your temperature will be taken every morning before departure.
- Should you experience any of the following symptoms within 14 days before the departure date, you will unfortunately not be able to travel on the booked tour, please notify us immediately:
- Fever above 37.5
- Shortness of breath
- Sudden flu like symptoms
- Dry cough
- Sore throat
- Digestive issues (nausea / vomiting / diarrhoea / stomach pain)
- Loss of smell / taste
- Headache
- In the past 14 days been in contact with someone that tested positive for Covid-19
- Tour cancellation by GO TRIP
Should a tour for unforeseen circumstances be cancelled by GO TRIP, we will either offer postponement or refund full payment, this will be done at the discretion of GO TRIP. This refund only refers to bookings made through GO TRIP in South Africa. Please note for all tours there is a set minimum number of participants on a tour. We reserve the right to cancel a tour if this number is not reached. With this instance, GO TRIP will either offer a full refund or a voucher for future travel. If GO TRIP should curtail a tour before or after departure for any pertinent reason, i.e., wars, strikes, epidemic outbreak, severe weather conditions or force majeure (Act of God) then GO TRIP will not be held liable for any form of refund.
- Voucher regulations
About the voucher
Your voucher can be used as payment for a future reservation made through GO TRIP. If the tour cost on your new booking is higher than the voucher value, you would need to pay the difference but if the tour cost is lower you would receive an additional voucher to be used towards another reservation at GO TRIP. Kindly note that the voucher is non-refundable and would be valid for 12 (TWELVE) months from date of issue. The voucher is transferable to a third party but would be issued in the name of the original traveller. The responsibility lies with the original voucher holder to inform GO TRIP of any name changes. Should travel restrictions be re-introduced, the validity of vouchers issued will be extended accordingly.
Alternative Traveller Benefit
Should the original traveller no longer wish to travel, you have the option to provide an alternative name to use on the voucher. Kindly inform us in writing should you wish to make changes to the beneficiary of the voucher.
- Variations to tour itinerary
In the event of adverse weather, road conditions, force majeure, safety risks or other unforeseen circumstances occurring, GO TRIP reserves the right to amend the tour itinerary at its discretion, to benefit or protect the passengers.
- Insurance
It is strongly advised that all customers take out adequate insurance cover such as cancellation due to illness, accident or injury, personal accident and personal liability, loss of or damage to baggage and sports equipment (Note that this is not an exhaustive list). GO TRIP will not be responsible or liable if the customer fails to take adequate insurance cover at all. It shall not be obligatory upon GO TRIP to effect insurance for the customer except upon detailed instructions given in writing and all insurance effected by GO TRIP pursuant to such instruction will be subject to such exceptions and conditions as may be imposed by the insurance company or underwriters accepting the risk, and GO TRIP shall not be obliged to obtain separate cover for any risks so excluded. Should the insurers dispute their liability for any reason, the customer will have recourse against the insurers. Once the insurance has been confirmed and paid for, the customer will be issued with a policy document of the insurer. It is a complex document which must be read BEFORE you initiate your travel so that you can address any queries you may have to the insurer BEFORE you depart.
Please note that various credit card companies offer limited levels of travel insurance, which GO TRIP does not consider sufficient cover for international travel. Kindly check with the respective credit card companies in order to obtain the specific details of the cover.
- Safety & Comfort
Customers are expected to comply with reasonable requests and instructions of GO TRIP’s tour leader/guide and his/her team regarding safety, general well-being and comfort of the tour group. GO TRIP reserves the right to deny continued participation in individual activities, excursions or the rest of the tour to customers who do not comply with safety instructions.
- Passports, Visas and Health – Travel documentationIt is entirely the customer’s duty to ensure that all passports and visas are current, valid, obtained on time, and will be valid for six months after return to home country and that any vaccinations, inoculations, prophylactic (e.g., for malaria) and the like, where required, have been obtained. Please check the requirements with GO TRIP before travelling. GO TRIP will endeavor to assist the customer but such assistance will be at the GO TRIP’s discretion and the
customer acknowledges that in doing so, GO TRIP is not assuming any obligation or liability and the customer indemnifies GO TRIP against any consequences of non-compliance. It is the customer’s duty to familiarize him/herself with the inherent dangers of and mental and/or physical condition required for the Proposed Travel Arrangements. Please note that All visitors to South Africa and all clients who are travelling from RSA to another country are required to have a minimum of three blank pages in their passport excluding the front and back cover to enable the entry visa to be issued – However in each case a further enquiry should be addressed to the consulate or embassy of the relevant countries being visited. If there is insufficient space in the passport entry will be denied and the person is likely to be detained pending return to their country of origin. Please ensure that all passports are renewed. The customer must ensure that the details supplied to GO TRIP mirror those details shown on their passport for international travel and ID documents for local travel. As a guideline, passports should be valid for 6 months after your scheduled return to South Africa.
Non-South African passport holders may also be required to have re-entry documentation and it is entirely the customer’s duty to ensure that such documentation is in order before departure.
- Tour Fee Increases
GO TRIP reserves the right to revise its charges to the customer due to fluctuations in prices of applicable air or ground transport fares, or in the rate of VAT, after the date of the reservation made by the customer. Forex bank charges will be for the customer’s account.
- Passenger luggage and personal effects
Baggage insurance is recommended as GO TRIP can assume no responsibility for loss and damage to luggage or personal belongings, under any circumstances. Baggage turned over to GO TRIP for transport each day is done so at participant’s own risk. Passengers’ baggage needs to be clearly marked with their name, surname & contact number.
- Health
The customer should familiarize him/herself with the tour itinerary and confirm that they are medically fit to undertake the tour. Any participant with a known medical illness or condition must reveal this fact at the time of booking, and make the necessary arrangements for the provision of any drugs or treatments that may be needed during the tour. It is necessary to have comprehensive medical insurance for this trip.
- Vaccinations
For South Africa, there are no inoculation requirements. Certain areas in South Africa and its neighboring countries are classified as malaria risk areas and malaria prophylaxis are highly recommended. For more information and suitable medication please contact your local “Travel Doctor” institute. The customer is responsible for the costs of any required inoculations or required tests by law to enter a specific country or province as stipulated by government regulations.
- Payment
All payments for services to be rendered by GO TRIP, must be paid in full by the client, before the commencement of the services booked and confirmed.
- GO TRIP’s right to decline
GO TRIP reserves the right to decline, to execute or to complete any contract, should the above conditions not be strictly complied with. Such rights, when exercised by GO TRIP, shall be without prejudice to its rights to claim damages or other relief from the client.
- GO TRIP’s right to sub-contract
GO TRIP reserves the right to sub-contract any part of our services in case of an emergency or by choice, and when this right is exercised, the substitute service will, as far as circumstances permit, compare equally with GO TRIP’s own service.
