WHALE SEASON – end of July until end of November
Hermanus lies along Walker Bay on the south coast of the Western Cape. It is located about 115 km southeast of Cape Town. It was originally called Hermanuspietersfontein, but shortened in 1902 as the name was too long for the postal service. We make the 4 star graded Misty Waves Hotel our home for the next 5 nights. The hotel is situated in Marine Drive, overlooking Walker Bay and won the TripAdvisor Award, for one of the top 25 hotels in South Africa and in the top 10% of hotels, world-wide!
