Choose Your Tour Itinerary
The Go Wild Coast tour follows the same nine-day core route, with different arrival and departure arrangements according to your region.
The supplied documents currently include Cape Town, Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal itineraries.
Departing from CPT
Travellers fly to King Shaka International Airport, where the Go Trip guide will meet the group before travelling to Ingeli Forest Lodge.
Departing from GP
Travellers fly to King Shaka International Airport and meet the Go Trip guide before continuing by road to Ingeli Forest Lodge.
Departing from KZN
KwaZulu-Natal travellers depart from designated central collection points and travel by road to Ingeli Forest Lodge.

The group will stop at suitable places where guests may purchase lunch or something light to eat.
Flight Information
Flights are not included for Cape Town and Gauteng travellers.
Go Trip can assist with arranging flights for an administration fee of R50. Airline fares remain subject to availability and may change before tickets are issued.
Accommodation and Room Sharing
The tour price is based on two guests sharing a room.
A single supplement of R3,800 applies when one guest occupies a room alone. The supplement is payable with the deposit and may be refunded if the traveller later finds a suitable sharing partner.
Travelling alone but willing to share? Indicate this on the booking form. Go Trip may be able to introduce you to another solo traveller who is also looking for a sharing partner.
Weather Along the Wild Coast
The supplied itineraries indicate average March temperatures of approximately 27°C during the day and around 12°C at night.
Conditions may vary between the coast, forests and the inland areas around Cradock.
Guests should pack:
- Lightweight clothing for warm days
- Comfortable layered clothing
- A jacket for cooler mornings and evenings
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Rain protection
- Sun protection
- A hat and sunglasses
- Insect repellent
- Binoculars and a camera, where possible
Important Coastal and Safari Information
- River cruises remain subject to weather, water and operating conditions.
- Coastal areas may be windy, wet or slippery.
- Wildlife sightings in Addo and Mountain Zebra National Parks cannot be guaranteed.
- Park routes may change according to road, weather and wildlife conditions.
- Some attractions involve uneven paths, steps or boarding boats and vehicles.
- Guests with mobility concerns should provide full details on the booking form.
- Additional Morgan Bay activities are not included unless specifically stated.
Important Travel Information
This is a long-distance touring itinerary covering coastal and inland regions.
Several days involve extended periods in the tour vehicle, including the journeys between:
- Durban and Kokstad
- Kokstad and Morgan Bay
- Port Alfred and Gqeberha
- Gqeberha and Cradock
- Cradock and Kokstad
- Kokstad and KwaZulu-Natal
Travellers should be comfortable with long road journeys and regular changes of accommodation.

Ingeli Forest Lodge
Begin the tour beneath the Ingeli Mountain range near Kokstad.
ANEW Resort Ingeli Forest is surrounded by indigenous forest and provides a peaceful setting in which to relax before the coastal journey begins.
Morgan Bay
Spend two nights at Morgan Bay Hotel, positioned between an unspoilt beach and the dramatic cliffs of the Wild Coast.
Enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel, relax beside the sea or explore the surrounding area at your own pace.
Great Kei River Cruise
Board the Fish Eagle river boats for an afternoon cruise on the Great Kei River.
Experience the surrounding scenery and birdlife from the water before returning to Morgan Bay Hotel for dinner.
Makhanda Guided Tour
Meet a local guide for a tour of Makhanda, formerly known as Grahamstown.
Discover more about the town’s military, administrative, judicial and educational history before returning to Port Alfred.
